Membership Information



 

Membership in The ACT Program Foundation is limited to ACT Program teachers, para-educators, support staff, students, and the students’ family members (limit of 4 memberships per family).  Others who wish to become involved in The ACT Program Foundation can become Associate Members.  Annual dues are just $10 per year.  As a member, you will be able to:

  • Enjoy discounted admission to ACT Program Foundation events and activities.
  • Vote for members of the Board of Directors, or to be elected as one yourself.
  • Attend Board meetings and have input into the decisions that will ultimately determine how successful we will become in supporting the ACT Program classrooms.
  • Serve on committees that work to directly benefit the classrooms of the ACT Program.
  • Attend annual membership meetings (usually held in October) and have a say in corporate decisions.
  • Utilize your expertise and talents to improve the educational program available to the students of the ACT Program.

Associate Members can do all of the above, with the exceptions of voting at Membership meetings and serving on the Board of Directors

Just follow these easy steps:

Step 1:  Open the Membership Application (it will download as a Microsoft Word document)

Step 2:  Enable Editing, then complete the application form on your computer or by hand

Step 3:  Mail your completed application form, along with a check for $10 (or more), to:

Step 4:  Save the completed application document to your computer and attach the document to an email sent to: secretary@actprogramfoundation.org, then go to step 5

Step 5:  Use the button above, and follow the prompts to send $10 (or more) to The ACT Program Foundation. On the “Please Review Your Donation” page, click on “add special instructions to the seller” and enter “Membership 2018-2019”.

 

 

The ACT Program Foundation is a non-profit corporation, recognized by the Internal Revenue Serviceas a 501(c)(3) organization, and was created in 2009 to provide supplemental material support to the classrooms of the Adult Community Transition (ACT) Program in the Long Beach Unified School District. 

 The ACT Program Foundation is a California Public Benefit Corporation, and is recognized by the State of California’s Franchise Tax Board as a Tax-Exempt organization.

 The ACT Program Foundation is registered with the State of California’s Attorney General’s Office on the Registry of Charitable Trusts.
